Thank you and see you … in Barcelona

Two weeks ago, the Lotto Park in Anderlecht turned VMware green (instead of the usual purple), when our VMware vForum 2019 event took place at this exceptional location.

Looking back, we can say without hesitation that vForum Anderlecht was a success. We want to thank all our partners without whom this would not have been possible. And of course all the IT professionals who were present in large numbers also deserve a heartfelt thank you.

I hope the program met your expectations. With a balanced mix between presentations about our own solutions, inspiring cases by customers such as NRB, contributions from partners such as Dell Technologies, AWS, IBM, Commvault, PureStorage, Rubrik, VEEAM, Trend Micro and ITQ, you could learn a lot about the digital workspace, hybrid cloud solutions, networking and security. Sometimes in depth, sometimes with a sneak preview of what is yet to come. And this future looks promising indeed!

For me personally, it wasn’t the technology but the human touch that impressed me the most. The life story of Marc Herremans during the closing keynote puts everything back into perspective. While our professional days revolve around digital change and transformation, this athlete had to change his entire life (and dreams) in a split second. A very moving and greatly inspiring story about how he flipped the switch and turned his enormous setback into new goals. Change and transformation with a very human touch.

From vForum to VMworld

Never dwell on the past, always look ahead to the future. At vForum 2019 Belgium, VMworld 2019 Europe (Barcelona, 4-7 November) was mentioned during various sessions to elaborate on specific technology or solutions for current and future challenges.

VMworld 2019 Europe is indeed the best opportunity for this. Firstly, VMworld 2019 Europe lasts several days. Secondly you have the opportunity to attend many more keynotes, break-out sessions and hands-on labs. And not to forget: to network and to share experiences with peers. Formally or informally as at our annual – exclusive – VMware Benelux Party. You do not want to miss this (just ask colleagues who have already experienced this).

So, register for VMworld today via this link: https://www.vmworld.com/en/europe/index.html

See you in Barcelona! (I won’t mention the weather over there to convince you.)
