Alon Gamliel, IT Manager, Leverate
I am happy to announce Leverate’s new strategic technological endeavors and it’s partnership with VMware and Dell- EMC.
Leverate is a leading technology and services provider in the brokerage industry, and the premium choice for entrepreneurs who wish to open a Forex brokerage. Since it’s foundation in 2008, it has constantly maintained its position at the cutting edge of the Fintech market, while taking client support to the next level with dedicated account managers and customer support available 24 hours a day. The company’s main customers are banks and financial instutions. We have branches in Cyprus, Shanghai, Ukraine, London and Tel Aviv and 150 employees. The IT department is located in Israel and serves all the branches of the organization.
To stay competitive, we needed to modernize our IT infrastructure in order to increase agility by accelerating time-to-market for new apps and services, and react quickly in real-time to our customers’ needs so we could protect their investments. This process requires decision making in micro-seconds. We needed to Improve the uptime of our production systems, support applications and make sure that top performance will be consistent compared to the traditional 3-tier architecture. We had to implement agile and flexible enviornment so we will be able to adapt to the rapid changing applications requirements. We also wanted to run all the stack from one location and to focus more on innovation instead of administration and regular updates.
We turned to cloud-like operating model, with the end goal of deploying hybrid cloud infrastructure to improve agility. We chose VMware because it enables us to advance our modernization journey at our own pace. VMware also offers users a full-stack hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) experience, with a complete set of software-defined services for compute, storage, networking, security and cloud management.
In Parnership with Dell-EMC, VMware and their partner Malam-Team, we built our Private Cloud infrastructure and migrated data from our existing infrastructure, with no downtime and with minimum risks. Our IT team has also received on-the-job training, so we would be able to manage our new systems independently.
Thanks to our partnership with VMware, we have managed to reach the required security standards, improve the applications performance and save a significant space that allows financial savings in terms of Data Center. We have also achieved flexibility in infrastructure settings and rapid response to our applications needs. We can now provide excellent performance without the need for individual planning and many settings, our infrastrucute can now support our next-gen application that will be consist of VM’s and Containers.
Thanks to VMware, we are now able to save more on maintenance and operations at a price which is three times less than moving to the public cloud. Our performance time was cut to 1.5 milliseconds, from 7 milliseconds before the process.
Today we can anticipate our growth and plan ahead, implement a process or update a version in minutes instead of hours. We have managed to decrease operations costs, automate the life cycle of our solutions and extend it.
